Best Cycling Events Wisconsin 2024
The Red Granite Grinder was named by Strambecco among the 2024 Best Cycling Events in Wisconsin. Strambecco recognized the Red Granite Grinder as one of the three most iconic cycling events in the Badger State. Rounding out the top three were Southern Wisconsin’s road challenge, the Horribly Hilly Hundreds amassing over 10,000 feet of climbing and the Northwood’s Life Time Chequamegon MTB Festival on the famed Birkie Ski Trail. Both events sell out.
Criteria for the ratings include reputation, route quality, location, rider feedback, and the race’s overall uniqueness of the event or race.
In addition to being named by Strambecco among the Best Cycling Events in Wisconsin, the Red Granite Grinder was also recognized among the Best Gravel Cycling Events in the Midwest. Spanning Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana, and Minnesota, the Midwest includes other iconic events such as the nation’s largest gravel race, Barry-Roubaix, Unbound Gravel (formerly known as Dirty Kanza), and Gravel Worlds.
