Nicolet National Bank announced as IRONBULL series sponsor
WAUSAU – Nicolet National Bank continues to support local causes amidst COVID-19, with IRONBULL announcing recently that the financial institution has become a series sponsor.
“It’s businesses like Nicolet National Bank that have the foresight to continue investing in local non-profits that make our community special,” said Timothy Buchholz, IRONBULL president.
Although IRONBULL has canceled its summer events in compliance with the Marathon County Health Department’s guidelines, IRONBULL has offered free events for racers to participate in on their own over a designated period. So far, IRONBULL has held four marked trail runs, a gravel ride, and is currently holding a paddling event.
The first three free trail runs introduced many people to several local trails for the first time. Nearly two-thirds of the participants in the event at Nine Mile County Recreation Area visited this local treasure for the first time this year while participating. Similarly, 50% and 70% of participants walked or ran on the downtown Wausau trails and through the Scotch Creek Woodland Preserve in Edgar, respectively, for the first time ever through these events.
IRONBULL is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes outdoor adventure sports in Central Wisconsin. We aim to drive economic development, benefit community organizations, and attract and retain a talented work force through the production of high quality races and events that promote healthy living in our community.
