Background

The Town of Rib Mountain boasts many great outdoor recreation venues including bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. The Town of Rib Mountain applied for and was awarded a $492,000 grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Alternatives Program for the construction of the Trillium Trail to improve connectivity of bicycle and pedestrian paths in the community. The Trillium Trail connects to existing routes that provide bicycle and pedestrian access over USH 51/I39 via Foxglove Rd to the Wisconsin River pedestrian bridge and surrounding communities. Other improvements include widening and paving the shoulders north of Clover Rd and pedestrian crossing signals at the intersection of Trillium Ln and to County Road N.
