RACE GUIDE
All racers must follow race rules and carry mandatory gear.
These are found in the race guide along with other important information.
2024 Routes & GPS files
Because we use many properties (including Rib Mountain State Park and private properties) not normally open to bikes, please respect these properties and save these for race day so we can continue using them!
Riders must carry a GPS with the route file or cue sheets (below). Note that road names are correct on the OSM layer (but there’s some incorrect road names in Google Maps despite our efforts to notify Google to correct them!)
The 2024 planned routes are expected to be very similar to 2023 barring any property permissions or road construction. 2024 expected changes are:
1) Based on racer feedback, the first aid station will be located five miles further down the course.
2) We received DNR approval for allowing 85 & 144 mile riders to use their discretion on where to ride on the trails at Rib Mountain State Park! At the top of the hill, you have two lines to chose from to keep the flow of racers moving. If you’re a skilled rider, we recommend taking the Blue Trail and if you prefer dismounting for a hike-a-bike, we recommend taking the Red Trail.
3) Due to logging singletrack at Wausau School Forest has been removed
4) Based on feedback, the snowmobile trail behind State Park Speedway for the 85 & 144 mile has been removed (last year it was a last minute removal due to wet conditions)
5) A bridge was out in 2023 so we had to go on a paved road, but not this year!

cue sheets
Updated 10/8/24: Because we use many properties not normally open to bikes including private properties, please respect these properties and save these for race day so we can continue using them!
Do NOT use the Ride With GPS cue sheets. (We added a lot of detail for the featured sections not on the Ride With GPS cue sheets.)
